Mitsubishi made an SUV which they named the “Pajero” — it’s called the Montero in the USA, Spain, and some other Latin American countries because “pajero” translates to.... wanker.

I had an ‘88 Pajero 5spd. It had self locking front axle on the 4wd (a luxury in the 80s, as a lot of trucks still had manual locking hubs). It was a beast off road

The Pajero is a great car, you can also find it with the name Shogun in some countries.

and even Hyundai made an SUV named Galloper that is based on it.

Best-looking Pajero apart from the PajEvo
